So my sewing machine is having issues. I've been trying to finish up some hot pads I've been working on. They just need the binding done, but when I try to finish it with a zig-zag stitch...no zig-zag. It comes out a straight stitch.
It's been a little funny for a while now, but rather than figuring it out, cleaning it, or getting it serviced I just kept pushing forward. I didn't want to have to take time from my precious sewing time for that! I should have. Last night I took it apart to do some cleaning. Yikes!! I should have one that a long time ago! There was a lot of thread, fabric fuzz, and broken needle tips. Shame on me! I should have taken a picture of it for all of you, but I was too embarrassed.
I grabbed some canned air out of my husbands man cave for the cleaning process, but when I sprayed it in there it didn't come out like canned air. I look at the can...oops! It was Rem Oil. In my defense it was about 11:00 pm and I was rushing to try and get it cleaned up. So then I found myself cleaning the fabric fuzz and Rem Oil out of it.
Unfortunately when I got it put back together it still didn't work. So sad! So tomorrow I call a few places to see what it will take to get it serviced/repaired. It's not an expensive machine, but it's mine! In the mean time my sweet mother loaned me one of her old one's so I don't have to suffer. :)
I just started sewing in June last year-I love it! I found you on the Mommy blog hop and I'm now following you! I hope you'll folllow me back over at www.createdbycori.blogspot.com
